Human Resources Workshop – Team Work : An Individual and Collective Accountability

17 novembre 2021

The SADC of the Baie-des-Chaleurs is pleased to announce the return of its Human Resources Seminar to be held on November 17, 2021. It will be given in a hybrid format for the first time. The event will be held in person at the Gaspésie Congress Centre at Carleton-sur-Mer and on-line by videoconference.

With its theme of “Teamwork: An Individual and Collective Responsibility,” the HR Seminar will propose strategies to develop a capacity for engagement and attraction, as well as solutions to harmonize work teams. It is tailored to managers, team leaders, directors and supervisors in addition to professional resources and staff of businesses and organizations in the Baie-des-Chaleurs area.

“This seminar has its raison d’être more than ever in our region” said Lyne Lebrasseur, the Director of the Baie-des-Chaleurs SADC. The intention of several businesses to improve collaboration and respect within work teams inspired the theme of this 10th edition. “You have to know how to bet on each person in our organizations to empower them!”

This year, 7.25 hours of training will be acknowledged by the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (CRHA). [Order of Certified Human Resources Counsellors]

*Please note that all conferences are in French only.

Program

8:00 – Welcoming

8:30 – Opening conference

“The Optimization of the Full Human Potential”
Dr Amir Georges Sabongui | PHD, Psychologist and Speaker

Drawing on more than a decade of scientific research and based on his experiences as Commander of the Royal Canadian Navy, Dr. Georges shows us that organizations that focus on the well-being of their employees and put employee fulfillment first can be up to 40% more effective. This is true regardless of the industry in which they operate! The innate leadership of each and every employee is a lever of influence to bring out the best in each member of our teams, encourage accountability and commitment at all levels and inspire employees to focus on their full potential to contribute to the shared success of the organization.

WORKSHOP 1 : “Civility Is a Must in the Workplace”
Manon Perreault | CRHA, a governance, ethics and harassment counsellor

The lack of civility at work may be the cause of many unsuspected problem situations and may impact productivity and absenteeism, but will have very significant impacts on employee’s health. This conference will allow you to reflect on the concept of civility in the workplace and to determine what management and prevention tools should be implemented to defuse potential conflict situations

WORKSHOP 2 : “Emotional intelligence for Teamwork!”
Kathryn Peterson | Groupe Conseil CLE, Speaker

Our new reality of distance work challenges our ways of communicating and collaborating. This conference will deal with the four components of emotional intelligence – awareness of self, mastery of self, social conscience and management of relationships. Concrete and proven strategies will be proposed for improving these components. The final goal: self responsibility to better work as a team

“Change Is Permanent”
Sylvain Guimond | D.O., Ph.D, Speaker, Author and Trainer

In a world where everything changes rapidly, adapting becomes a major and constant challenge. The need to adapt is more than a rule, it is the law of nature. Through this conference, we will see what makes us resistant to change and how we can implement strategies to be able to free ourselves from it. At the same time, we will also see how to take advantage of the creativity, commitment and collaboration of each team member in a transformation process, without leaving too much room for discouragement.
