The mission of the SADC (Community Futures Development Corporation or CFDC) is to motivate the community to participate in determining its own future, with a view to local development, and to promote job creation and maintenance. For the SADC, accomplishing this mission involves:

• Developing a future vision for the community;
  
   
• Motivating the community to develop its potential; 
  
  
• Supporting business start-up, consolidation and development; 
  
  
• Offering socially-oriented enterprises and organizations technical assistance and follow-up support; 
  
  
• Informing and supporting promoters with respect to financial assistance programs available from Canada Economic Development and other funding sources.
