About us

The SADC de Baie-des-Chaleurs supports and finances the development of businesses in the Avignon and Bonaventure RCMs. It gives advice and supports business persons to whom it proposes financial and technical aid programs. The purpose of these programs is to encourage creation, the maintenance and development of employment through start-ups, modernization, the acquisition and expansion of businesses.

The SADC also actively participates in the economic development of communities by implementing, organizing and supporting initiatives and projects which allow communities to stimulate their socioeconomic development.

Our mission

Innovation: With professional integrity, we seek new opportunities, remain on the cutting edge of knowledge, and make decisions based on calculated risks to improve individual and organizational performance.

Solidarity: By acting in solidarity towards our employees, administrators and our network, we encourage mutual assistance and consultation. We have a team spirit and a strong sense of belonging to our community. This value is also expressed through the development of a sense of personal and collective responsibility towards others and society.

Receptivity: Receptivity is closely related to one of our fundamental elements: proximity. We demonstrate our openness, and always listen to our members, our clients and our territory. We employ organizational best practices to meet the expectations of our clients to whom we offer a personalized and dedicated service. We are also attentive to the expectations of our employees and partners.

Sustainable Development

“Sustainable development results from a series of public, private and community-based actions to meet current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their specific needs.”

- Board of Directors, November 2005

Since 2005, the Baie-des-Chaleurs SADC has been committed to sustainable development. We believe that every action counts! In line with the principles of local sustainable development, the SADC is aware of the importance of the environment and sustainable development, and our leadership role in this area. That is why, in 2005, we adopted a sustainable development policy to frame our practices in resource management and our activities.

Sustainable Development Award

To underline its 30 th anniversary, the SADC de Baie-des-Chaleurs founded the Sustainable Development award that was presented at the Baie-des-Chaleurs’ Chamber of commerce gala of recognition.

The new Baie-des-Chaleurs SADC Sustainable Development Prize is awarded in recognition of a business that is not only oriented towards short-term financial profitability, but that also takes environmental and social impacts into consideration in their daily operations and management, investing for the long term.

Annual Reports

The SADC produces an annual report on its activities at the end of each fiscal year. The report is presented to members at the organization’s annual general assembly. The annual report is also distributed to our socio-economic partners and clients and is posted online to promote awareness of the achievements, projects and impact of the Baie-des-Chaleurs SADC.
